Mount Royal Academy is a private Catholic school whose mission is to educate the whole person through the spiritual, academic, and human formation of each student.
The curriculum at Mount Royal Academy is a liberal arts curriculum. As students absorb the facts and structures of mathematics, science, theology, language arts, and history; they are also challenged to logically analyze the subject and draw conclusions. Mastery of the subject is gained as students are asked to articulate the truth based on what was learned. This happens through various written and oral assessment techniques.
Athletics
Mount Royal offers soccer, basketball, track and field, and baseball.
Interscholastic Athletics can be a fun, rewarding, and memorable part of students’ High School experience. While academics offer the primary source for formal education, athletics can contribute to the total value of that education in many different ways. Building upon the concepts of teamwork, fair play, sportsmanship, and self-esteem, athletics can help to provide a well-rounded educational experience. To those who strive to succeed in the classroom comes the privilege to compete outside of it. Student athletes earn playing time through good work ethics in practice, skill development, sportsmanship, and overall team attitude.
Mount Royal is a member school of the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association. High school teams compete in the NHIAA, and junior high teams compete with local schools and recreation centers. Elementary aged students compete with local recreation departments while developing skills and game awareness.
