Full-Day Preschool Available!

The Croydon School District is pleased to announce we’ve partnered with Healthy Kids to be able to provide full-day care, five days per week, as part of our new Program for Early Learning. We hope this will make preschool more accessible to families with challenging schedules.

What’s Offered

The following opportunities will be offered at Croydon Village School starting in September:

• Certified Instruction – early childhood education for preschool and kindergarten students
• Aftercare Enrichment – engaging care with time to play, connect, and unwind

The Croydon Difference

Each week at Croydon Village School’s Program for Early Learners, preschool students will receive 14 hours of certified instruction and up to 25 hours of supervised enrichment.

Research consistently shows that the quality of early learning experiences between ages 3 and 5 has a lasting impact on a child’s development. Programs led by certified early childhood educators (rather than general childcare staff) are specifically trained to support language development, early literacy, social-emotional growth, and school readiness skills in ways that are developmentally appropriate for each child.

A certified instructor doesn’t just supervise play. They design intentional learning experiences, recognize developmental milestones, and individualize their approach to meet each child where they are. Studies have shown that children who attend high-quality, instructor-led preschool programs are more likely to enter kindergarten ready to learn, and the benefits extend well into the school years. This includes stronger academic performance, better social skills, and fewer behavioral challenges.

Eligibility

The following children may apply for enrollment in our program:

• Preschool – Croydon and non-Croydon residents may join our half-day or full-day program. Children must be 4 years-old as of September 30.
• Kindergarten – Croydon residents only may join our full-day program. Children must be 5 years-old as of September 30.
• Grades 1-5 – Croydon residents only may join the aftercare enrichment program (bus drop-off from Kearsarge Elementary).

Schedule

Croydon Village School will be able to support preschoolers from 8:00am until 5:30pm, five days per week.

Croydon children attending Kearsarge Elementary in New London are also welcome to join the aftercare program and can be dropped off on the bus-ride back from New London in the afternoon (as space permits).

Preschool Pricing

Our core preschool program is $200/week for 14 hours of certified early learning instruction each week. For comparison, other early learning programs in the Upper Valley range from $280 to $350 per week (or $57-70 per day).
