The Croydon School Board is pleased to announce it has executed a five-year agreement with the Kearsarge School District, establishing them as our new anchor school starting in September 2026 for grades 1 through 12. This means all Croydon students will be guaranteed admission to Kearsarge Elementary in New London and Kearsarge Middle and High Schools in Sutton starting NEXT school year. As such, Croydon School District will also be transitioning its transportation to Kearsarge starting in September 2026.
Additionally, Kearsarge has agreed to accept any and all students currently in middle or high school (grades 6-12) THIS school year. Any families interested in moving their child from their current school into Kearsarge should contact Sue Blair as soon as possible. Please note that transportation would not be available until next year.
For clarity, parents may still opt to send their children to other schools approved in our school choice program.
Save the Date: October 15
We would like to invite members of the community to a special informational session with Kearsarge’s superintendent and Croydon’s school board and administration on Wednesday, October 15 at 6pm in the Town Hall. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about Kearsarge as well as ask any questions pertaining to the transition.
The decision to move forward with Kearsarge was made after a lengthy process of learning about their programs, touring their facilities, and discussing input from Croydon’s administrative and special education staff. We feel Kearsarge has strong alignment with the goals set forward in Croydon’s strategic plan, and are excited for this partnership and the opportunities it will present to our students. We look forward to seeing many of you at the October 15 informational session.
