Meeting Minutes
- Call to Order at 6:07pm by Kevin Morris, Board Chair
- Roll Call – Kevin Morris, Aaron McKeon, Amanda Leslie
- Public Forum #1
- Jim Morgan – Senator Sheehan is interested in considering assisting with funding of CVS construction; would need to coordinate through Hope Damon; Aaron to disseminate materials provided by Jim to the rest of the board; Jim requested balances of existing trust funds and what the money can be used for; he and Paul would like to give a $10k donation to the school
- Sharon Grader – Asked about an article concerning NH schools facing special education funding shortfall; property taxes will go up because of this

- Aaron motioned to approve Minutes from October 15, Amanda seconded, passed 3-0

- Status of Special Education
- Postponed until January meeting
- On watch by DOE for ability to meet referral timelines (23/24)
- Sue has found a speech/language pathologist
- Staff Training
- November 1 – trained staff on Acadience software; baseline results to be presented at next meeting
- Redesigned report cards to be based on competency
- Worked on developing curriculum standards; will take time and link back to state standards
- Parent-Teacher conference had 96% attendance
- Halloween Parade – Was very successful
- Sunapee Contract
- Tuition will go up 10% in 25/26, 5% in 26/27, and 2%/yr thereafter
- Sunapee would become an anchor school only if we sent all kids PK through 12 and we would have to pay the full state rate
- Sue to look into transportation options (Sunapee, short busses, big busses, vans, etc.)
- Information
- Beginning-of-Year (BOY) Reports – Sue cleaned up all our reporting so all students are now correctly in the Alma system
- Mary Beth is resigning from special ed responsibilities (grades 2-4); she will continue to case manage after school hours until a replacement is found; Sue investigating alternatives for providing services; the position has been posted to School Spring
- Granite State Leadership Academy (GSLA) – Sue was accepted into superintendent certification program (3-year program); Sue will likely need to take a few days per month for workshops; Sue to communicate her schedule

- New Business
- Discussed leadership structure; Sue would like to maintain current structure b. Discussed tuitioning out grade 4 next year vs waiting for construction; Sue to meet with current third-grade parents to see what their preference would be c. Amanda to meet with the church to see if they would be interested in a lot line adjustment because Big White is currently on church land
- Upcoming Events
- TIGER “Kindness Counts” – November 22 at 10:00am; Plymouth State University theatrical group
- Thanksgiving Feast – November 22 at 11:30am
- Polar Express – December 19 at 5:30pm (snow date December 20)

- Jen Ballou – Is there a ski program this year? No, there is not. Sue is looking into alternate activities.
